It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of our beloved Mama Elizabeth Ndanu Kitheka of Mutitu Village, Kitui Central Sub-County, Kitui County.
Elizabeth was a devoted wife to Mr. Hermes Kitheka Mutua and a loving mother to Dorcas Mueni Kitheka (Kitui Town), Benson Mutua Kitheka (Nairobi), and Lydia Ndanu Kitheka. She was a cherished grandmother to Zuri Mutua and Ethan Kitheka.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Mzee Philip Mutiso and the late Mama Tabitha Mwende Mutiso of Kitui. Elizabeth was a dear sister to Stephen Mutiso, Margaret Mueni, the late Daniel Mutiso, Rose Ndinda, and Paul Kitonga.
She was a loving aunt, cousin, and friend to many, known for her strength, resilience, and unwavering commitment to her family and community. Elizabeth was an active member of Ushindi Light Church, Mutitu, where she served faithfully in the Mothers’ Union.
The family expresses sincere gratitude to relatives, friends, neighbours, and church members for their prayers, support, and encouragement during this difficult time.
Funeral Arrangements
The body is lying at Muungano Hospital Mortuary.
The cortege will leave the mortuary on Thursday, 7th May 2026, at 10:00 a.m. for a funeral service Ushindi Light Church, Mutitu.
Burial and thanksgiving service will follow at her home in Mutitu Village, Kitui Central Sub-County.
