We announce the passing of Melissa Achieng Ooro, which occurred on 28th November 2025 after a brief illness, bravely borne.
Daughter of the late Mzee Benjamin Odhiambo and Mama Beatrice Atieno.
Wife of Mzee Lucas Odeck of Kendu Bay.
Mother of Vincent Ooro (Kisii), Dorothy Atieno (Sydney), Jackline Awuor (Lavington), and Linda Akoth (Sydney).
Grandmother of Keith, Brayden, Melvin, Imani, Precious, and Aubrey.
Sister of Millicent Awino, Enos Omondi, the late Vitalis Ouko, and Rose Anyango.
The cortege leaves Homa Bay Miale Funeral Home on Friday, 12th December 2025, followed by burial at the family home in Kanyada, Homa Bay County.
