The Kioko family regrets to announce the passing of Mr. Julius Mutango Kioko-Pietersen, which occurred peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at St. Branice Hospital, following a brief illness. He was 48.
Julius, affectionately known as ‘Jules,’ dedicated years of his life to public service, retiring in 2020 as a senior civil servant. His career was marked by integrity, diligence, and a commitment to serving the public without corruption. A proud alumnus of Men of Grace Fraternity, Jules was a champion for his community. He was always active, serving on the board of the local water project in his rural home.
He was a devoted husband to Tabitha Wanja Pietersen and a loving father to three children: Esther (based in Norway), Philip (Ace Senior School), and Lucy (Norway).
Family and friends are meeting for prayers and funeral arrangements daily at Mutomo Freeway Hotel, from 5:30 PM. Norway family and friends are joining for the meetings online. A Zoom link will be shared. The cortege will leave Kalama Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
